Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment

Physiotherapy begins with an assessment of movement, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and functional limitations. Based on the findings, a rehabilitation programme may be developed according to the individual’s condition and treatment goals.

Treatment may include therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, mobility and balance exercises, manual therapy and other physiotherapy techniques when appropriate. Rehabilitation programmes may also include guidance on posture, movement, activity modification and home exercises.

Progress is reviewed periodically, and the treatment plan may be adjusted according to the individual’s response, functional needs and clinical condition.
